How we use AI.
Where AI shows up in Tiwtor, what stays human, and what happens to the text you type.
The short version
- AI builds your content — phrase lists, listening exercises and their audio: if you generate it, AI makes it.
- Our collections are curated by humans — people write, check and dialect-check every phrase we publish.
- AI can be wrong — treat generated content as a strong draft, not gospel.
- Your prompts leave the app — sent to our AI providers, never sold or used to train public models.
Where AI shows up
What's always human
The curation. Every phrase in our official collections is written, checked and dialect-checked by people, and your own hand-typed phrases stay exactly as you wrote them. Audio is the honest exception: everything you generate is voiced by AI, and so is much of our official audio for now, made with the best tools we can get. We're replacing official audio with recordings from real Welsh speakers as and when we can afford to.
Your text & your data
To generate or refine, your prompt and the list you're working on are sent to third-party AI providers. Nothing else leaves the app. We don't sell your text or use it to train public models. Full detail in the Privacy policy.
